when i was working on my first video "memorandum 500" in 2002, i knew immediately that that wouldn't be my last video. and i also knew that i wanted to make more animation-like videos. creating new worlds, my worlds, so to speak. not in a sense of new countries, new life and so on, but making things that don't really exist or distorting realities. not only in my videos by the way. besides that we are living in a so called mtv society, while i am fascinated by minimal art. so this era is perfect for my work: i can react to this society by making rather minimal movies. until now i've made 2 exceptions: "memorandum 500" and "call me", in fact a sort of parody on the mtv thing.
in my latest video (installation) i have created a world of its own.
